Part 1: Understanding the Basics of Saudi Arabia

Maybe you’re traveling to Saudi Arabia for business.  Maybe you are working in a group project with a student from KSA.  Perhaps your company is considering expanding to the Middle East.

One of my passions has become teaching others about culture so we can all work better together.  I grew up in Saudi Arabia, and spent a lot of time in the United States.

This is the first part in my totally free series to help educate the world about the Saudi Arabian Culture.

I’m on a mission to bridge the gap between our ways of life.  I hope you’ll join me.

Here we go: Part 1 gives you a strong foundation for this series- the basic facts of what the country of Saudi Arabia is like.

If you found that presentation interesting, check out Part 2 where I’ll explain cultural theory that matters to you, like:
  • Monochronic/polychronic views of time (Why is everyone late to the meeting?)
  • Low/high context (Why can’t I get a straight answer?)
  • Individualism/Collectivism (What is the best way to find a job?)
  • Power Distance (Does my boss care about my ideas?)
